Arizona coverage
Motorcycle Insurance
Cruisers, sport bikes, dual-sports, and everything in between.
What's covered
Arizona is a riding state. We insure Harleys on the 87, adventure bikes headed to Sedona, and the daily commuter parked in your Chandler garage. Coverage tuned to how you actually ride, whether cruiser, sport, adventure, dual-sport, or scooter.
- LiabilityRequired by Arizona law. Pays for injuries or property damage you cause to someone else in an at-fault accident. Doesn't cover your bike or your own injuries. Those are separate coverages below.
- CollisionRepairs or replaces your bike after a crash, drop, or laydown, whether it's your fault or not.
- ComprehensiveCovers theft, vandalism, fire, hail, and animal strikes. Everything that isn't a collision.
- Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM)If a driver with no insurance or not enough insurance hits you, this covers your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Riders get hit by uninsured drivers at a much higher rate than car drivers. This coverage matters more on a motorcycle than almost anywhere else.
- Medical PaymentsPays medical bills for you and your passenger after an accident, regardless of fault. Fast payout with no waiting on a liability determination.
- Custom Parts & AccessoriesCoverage for aftermarket upgrades: exhaust, saddlebags, chrome, seats, audio, safety mods. Standard limits are modest; we can raise them if you've put real money into the bike.

Common questions
Motorcycle Insurance FAQ
- Is motorcycle insurance required in Arizona?
- Yes. Arizona requires liability coverage on every motorcycle registered in the state. The state minimum is 25/50/15, but for a motorcycle, those limits are almost always too low. A single serious injury can blow past $25,000 in a hospital visit before anyone's even started talking about long-term care. We'll walk you through limits that actually match your risk.
- Does my auto policy cover my motorcycle?
- Almost never. Motorcycles are excluded from standard auto policies and need their own coverage, either as a specialized motorcycle policy or as a miscellaneous-vehicle endorsement. Either way, your car insurance isn't riding with you.
- Am I covered if my passenger gets hurt?
- Yes, but through different coverages depending on the situation. Your Liability coverage pays your passenger's medical bills if you're at fault. Medical Payments covers them regardless of fault. If you regularly ride two-up, we'll make sure your limits are set for it.
- Am I covered if I lay the bike down?
- Yes, under Collision coverage. Whether it's a low-speed drop in a parking lot or a laydown on a mountain switchback, if the bike's damaged, Collision handles it (subject to your deductible). Comprehensive won't cover a drop. That's the "everything except collision" coverage.
- Does insurance cover my helmet, jacket, and gear?
- Sometimes. Safety apparel coverage is a common add-on but not usually included by default. If you've invested in quality gear like a helmet, jacket, boots, gloves, or comm system, it's worth asking about a rider's apparel endorsement. Coverage and limits vary by carrier.
- Am I covered off-road?
- Depends on the bike and the policy. Street-legal bikes (dual-sports, adventure bikes) are usually covered on and off pavement. Dirt bikes and off-road-only vehicles typically need a separate off-road policy. Tell us what you ride and where, and we'll match coverage to it.
- Can I drop coverage in the summer when I'm not riding?
- Technically yes, but it's usually a bad idea. Comprehensive protects your bike from theft, fire, hail, and vandalism while it's parked, which is when a lot of losses actually happen. And if the bike's financed, the lender requires continuous coverage. We can talk through storage or "lay-up" options if you truly don't ride part of the year.
- Do you write policies outside Arizona?
- We're a licensed independent agency based in Gilbert, Arizona, and we focus on Arizona residents. If you're moving to or from Arizona, contact us. We can point you to a trusted partner.
