Arizona coverage

Business Insurance

General liability, property, and specialty commercial coverages for AZ small businesses.

What's covered

From food trucks in Tempe to contractors in Queen Creek, we build tailored small-business policies that meet Arizona licensing requirements and your lender's demands.

  • General Liability
Third-party claims for bodily injury, property damage, and personal or advertising injury caused by your business or your work.
  • Commercial Property
Your building, equipment, inventory, and business income if a covered loss shuts you down.
  • Business Owner's Policy (BOP)
Bundles general liability, commercial property, and business income for small businesses into one policy, usually cheaper than buying each separately.
  • Workers' Compensation
Required in Arizona once you have any employee. Covers medical bills and lost wages for on-the-job injuries.
  • Commercial Auto
Coverage for work trucks, vans, and vehicles used for business. Personal auto policies exclude commercial use, a common gap when the "personal" pickup is really a work truck.
  • Cyber Liability
Data breach response, ransomware, and social engineering losses. Increasingly required by clients, lenders, and even landlords. Small operations aren't exempt.

Also available: Commercial umbrella and excess, inland marine, and other specialty commercial lines. Ask us about your specific situation.

Common questions

Business Insurance FAQ

Is workers' compensation required for my Arizona business?
Yes. Arizona requires workers' compensation the moment you have any employee, whether full-time, part-time, or seasonal. Sole proprietors and partners with no employees are exempt but can opt in for their own coverage. Corporate officers have some election options that we'll walk through if that applies to you.
What is a Business Owner's Policy (BOP)?
A BOP bundles general liability, commercial property, and business income into a single policy designed for small and mid-size businesses. It's usually cheaper than buying each coverage separately, and it fits most businesses with fewer than 100 employees, under $6M in revenue, and less than 35,000 square feet. Some businesses (auto shops, restaurants with certain features, higher-hazard trades) don't qualify. We'll tell you upfront if a BOP won't work for your situation and quote a commercial package policy instead.
Do contractors need extra coverage beyond general liability?
Often yes. Arizona ROC licensees frequently need commercial auto for work trucks, tools and equipment coverage, an installation floater for materials in transit or at the jobsite, and a surety bond as part of ROC licensing itself. We quote each based on your trade, license class, and the projects you're bidding.
How fast can I get a Certificate of Insurance?
Once a policy is bound, we can email a Certificate of Insurance the same day, including additional insured endorsements a landlord, general contractor, or client may require. If you're bidding a project with specific insurance requirements, send us the contract or requirements sheet ahead of time and we'll make sure the certificate matches what they're asking for.
