Meet Steven White, Founder & Principal Producer

Steven White brings over 20 years of insurance industry experience to Switchback, nearly all of it in personal lines insurance, where he moved through customer service, regional underwriting supervision, marketing, and ultimately running underwriting and customer service operations for the Southwest region. Along the way, he led teams serving 55,000+ customers, interpreted Department of Insurance complaints, wrote and maintained regional underwriting guides, and worked directly with executives, product, and compliance to make sure the policies going out the door actually held up when someone filed a claim.

That kind of career gives you a specific view of the insurance business. Steven has read the applications. He's read the policies. He knows what carriers actually look at, how rates are calculated, why claims affect your renewal the way they do, and where coverage gaps tend to show up exactly when people need their insurance most.

He founded Switchback in 2026 to bring that view to the customer side of the desk. As an independent agent, he shops 28+ carriers on behalf of East Valley homeowners, families, and small businesses and, more importantly, actually walks you through what he's putting in front of you. Not just a quote. A real conversation about what's covered, what isn't, and what to watch for.

"Most people don't really understand their insurance until something goes wrong. After twenty years watching that happen from the carrier side, I built Switchback so people can actually understand what they're buying, before the claim, not after," says Steven.
